Positive Behaviour Support

Positive Behaviour Support

Encouraging understanding, empowerment and progress

Transforming behaviours through understanding & support

Our approach to Positive Behaviour Support is designed to reduce challenging behaviours by understanding their root causes and implementing proactive, positive strategies that lead to meaningful change.

A wide range of individuals can benefit from Positive Behaviour Support, particularly those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health conditions and other challenges such as behaviours of concern or emotional regulation.

We identify the underlying reasons for behaviours and develop individualised behaviour support plans using evidence based practices to teach and reinforce positive behaviours and emotional regulation. We also provide training for our support workers to ensure consistent and effective implementation.

Transforming behaviours through understanding & support

Empowering individuals with personalised behaviour strategies

Addressing challenging behaviours requires a personalised and holistic approach. We aim to understand each person’s unique needs, strengths and challenges and develop tailored interventions that promote positive change.

We create customised behaviour support plans that outline strategies to reduce or eliminate the behaviours of concern.

We may also recommend integrating other therapeutic services such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or Physiotherapy to manage behaviours and enhance quality of life.

Collaborative care for sustainable behavioural improvements

Challenging behaviours can be stressful for families and caregivers. That is why we work closely with clients, their families and other support networks including educators and healthcare professionals to share with them with the tools and strategies needed to manage behaviours effectively, reducing stress and improving family dynamics. Our approach to Positive Behaviour Support ensures everyone is working together to provide a supportive framework for behaviour management.
